Wow! Well done! I need to lose around that but I've not really been trying too hard so can blame anyone but myself. I know what the scales and the mirror say yet I don't "feel" the size I am. ... I AM cutting back on my carbs again as my HbA1C was a bit up on last time (didn't ask doc for a print. It was UP so need to be better behaved again....I am so focussed on the BS numbers that I keep forgetting to weigh myself and look at my weightloss. Well another kilo and a bit has gone this week making that a total of 18.5 kilos since the 10th Feb, in old money that is just a little over 40lbs or almost 3 stone, which even amazed me when I did the conversion!
That's a drop in 9 weeks!! Good stuffI am so focussed on the BS numbers that I keep forgetting to weigh myself and look at my weightloss. Hello! I have a variation of the recipe at the end of the following blog post almost every day for breakfast: http://alldayidreamaboutfood.com/2012/10/grain-free-hot-cereal.htmlMorning all, it's sunny but cold at the moment. It's supposed to be wintry showers this afternoon so I'm going to pop into town this morning, hopefully we won't get hail or snow like yesterday! @liam1955 best of luck with the blood tests, hope you get the results you want. I got some chia seeds last week, so far I've tried them sprinkled on yoghurt but not much else. If you find any good recipes I could do with some inspiration![]()
I used to use a lot of pain medications, I was told by the pain clinic I was under that rather than the pain meds raising BGLs it was more likely to be the body's response mechanism to pain and trauma, the person to speak too would be your pharmacist they have afar better knowledge of medications and their effects than G.Pshi all, how you doing today. I have a question for you. Yesterday the doctor gave Ron a prescription for co codamol . since then his BG levels have gone up . this lunch time they are 7.7 . he has never been that high at this time of day at work , so he thinks its the medication that is pushing it up , could he be right.

Definitely moving to YorkThanks for the link @hankjam - going to try Brunnerias Chai Seed Pudding today and will let you know the outcome @Sable_Jan - Thanks
Must try to find the carb free chocolate roulade recipe I meant to make at XmasHad the opportunity to try a cake test yesterday, BG 6.5 one and a half hrs later 14.5 suitably it was a Thortons smiler chocolate cake,Took 1.5 Glimepiride tablets BG was back to 7 within 40mins.
Chocolate Cake is definitely not on the good food list.
Given I'd had a gluten free poppyseed muffin last month that only raised my BG up to 7.5 it was worth a shot.
@Diamum5972 I forgot to mention using chia seeds in sugar-free jam! It takes about 15 minutes to make from start to finish and it's delicious. Put some berries, water, and sweetener of choice on the stove, heat it up until you can mash the berries with a fork, take it off the heat and stir in some chia seeds. DONE! Keeps for up to two weeks in the fridge, and can also be frozen. Recipes abound online, but here's one for easy reference: http://alldayidreamaboutfood.com/2013/09/raspberry-chia-seed-jam-and-a-chia-giveaway.htmlHello! Ground chia seeds were also an ingredient in some AH-mazing salmon burgers I made over the weekend.
Ibruprofen does raise bgs as mixed or coated with a sugar.hi all, how you doing today. I have a question for you. Yesterday the doctor gave Ron a prescription for co codamol . since then his BG levels have gone up . this lunch time they are 7.7 . he has never been that high at this time of day at work , so he thinks its the medication that is pushing it up , could he be right.
it was when he took his bg levels last night, he couldn't think of anything he had other than the tablets that could of raised it. I said to him that maybe cause he was resting and not active . this morning back to 6 and at lunch back up in the 7s. hes feeling heady and confused on top of all this. will see how he is tonight. don't know if he has told you but ive given up work to help him .Ibruprofen does raise bgs as mixed or coated with a sugar.
Info leaflet should tell you. Myself I didn't on co-codamol but I did feel I was using more energy when I had my sciatica. So in fact it lowered mine.
Everyone is different. Call any pharmacist they should be able to answer that quickly.
In cases of sciatica - movement releases the trapped nerve again. With the help of painkillers.
Great news Vicki, well done you on the weight loss and good luck on reducing the insulin tooDn was very happy with my bgs. In fact she reconfirmed I was doing right with mymeds and I've lost 3lb since my dietician last week. Hoping canagliflozin doesn't let me down whilst I lose weight and reduce my insulin further. Fingers crossed.![]()
Steady now...@13lizanne - This is the 'real me' - no longer a tree face now! You have all probably realised but I get bored, must be the "split personality" of being a Gemini!! @mo53 do not use the Epsom Salts at all. Got my delivery about 30 minutes ago and this time the Courier was a nice youngish guy, very pleasant too??![]()
