Type 2 Life

I'm 45 William but feel more like 60 at moment yeah doctor woods is one of the few good docs at our local practice and he has now taken over my care as he said he is concerned how things haven't been going for me so it seams as you say that finally on the up and hopefully some answers soon .
Hope Richard is taking good care of you
Hopefully things will improve for you soon (hugs)

Thank you all for the welcomes, condolences and best wishes, they really are appreciated. I'll catch up with you all at some time tomorrow.
Take care & behave.

Love & cwtches winging their way to all of you. Karen xxx
Great to have you back, so sorry to hear your sad news (hugs)

Don't worry I haven't clubbed him with rolling pin yet . Its the clonazepam it knocks him out . Lol

That's not a bad thing Tina, at least when Ron is in a deep sleep he is pain free. I am really pleased that at last they are doing something really positive, he has really suffered for some time now. And it is not nice for you to see your Husband suffer and feel useless. You really are a Rock for him. Do I get some Cup Cakes now? :D

I was wondering what you were buttering me up for . Will have to find some low carb ones .

Ha, Ha @tina_marie - Tell Ron not to worry too much at his blood sugars being raised due to the Clonazepam - because they are not true readings. When I had a 4 week course of Steriod Tablets recently my Blood Sugars went up and my GP told me not to be too alarmed, they didn't go up that much anyway. Hope you are chilling out and You get a good night's restful sleep. :) William x

Sleep what's that . Since I've changed my eating habits last week. I've got loads of energy .

I've put on a good kiddy movie. Peace at last.
I'm sorry to hear of your loss @doolallylady :( . I lost my nana in May and she too was 92yr old. They don't make them like they used to. We miss her everyday but take comfort in that she is no longer in pain from a broken heart. Nana and grandad are together again, like they should be. I feel at peace with her passing. I know she is happy. :)
Looking forward to seeing your posts tomorrow. Thank you for not forgetting about us. ♡♥♡
How is @tina_marie ? All overwhelming. Ron's numb feet are a huge worry. Just look out for any colour changes or unhealing blisters/spots in his numb areas.
I now know what you mean when you said you didn't realise how involved diabetes is.
I bet it feels Ron's care is never ending? We are here to share some of the load.
You're not alone! ♡♥♡

The sides are a bit red . Its fine when hes not wearing socks and the air gets to them.

I get all his meds out ready for him to take in the morning also his meter as he's not been testing as much. Help with his personal care . Do his lunch for work . Do the doc/ pharmacy run. Help him to bed . When he needs help getting up to stand and sometimes walking im there.

I might need to turn in myself.
I've never stopped since 7am this morning. 2 attempts of a hot coffee failed. Numerous re-read posts due to interruptions.
Munchies all day. And now a good cry over my nana's death. It doesn't take much to get me crying, these days.
I broke my heart earlier over the toddler who died in Kos. So sad. :bigtears:

Hopefully things will improve for you soon (hugs)
Thanks Maureen have been seizure free for two days now had a few minor tremors but nothing major
Hopefully will get some answers when see neurologist on the 30th been signed of work now for 2 weeks as my doc wasn't happy for me to continue once described how physical my job is .
Hope all your problems are sorted soon if I lived closer Maureen I would have been round by now and put every thing right for you
Sending a big sloppy hug your way

I hope you're getting an attendance allowance for all this, Tina. Ron is very lucky to have such a loving, caring wife. Big hugs x

I feel your pain, Patsy - I've been doing the same lately. It's so frustrating, isn't it? But I guess you have a lot on your mind right now, too, with the house sale and everything... Big hugs xx

The fact that it doesn't take much to make you cry at present is a warning sign, Vicky. You're obviously running pretty close to your endurance limits right now.
Do take care of yourself and try and find a bit of Me Time - although I know that's not easy with everything you have going on in your life. There are a lot of people relying on you, but you're not going to be able to carry everyone without some cracks starting to show.
Take care - big hugs xxx

Well, you're entitled to it, and you're saving the government money in healthcare, so it might be worth looking into. Could mean a bit of extra money coming in, which is never a bad thing! :)

@debrasue not everyone qualifies. Which can be another ball ache!
I'd advise they speak to CAB they'll keep them right. Only maximum mobility PIP claimants can apply for careers. I believe, but could be wrong. Goodluck guys!
If you have the energy for the fight start now. Otherwise give yourselves a chance to recouperate for the fight.
Also not sure if because Ron works it prevents Tina claiming careers as you gave to be carering full-time hours. If Ron at work then not with Tina. They won't include nightime care now. They won't pay out easily now all these restrictions. They are removing claimants and very few new claims are accepted. Get your MP involved if Ron gets finished from work through ill health as dwp will just mess you around, more than nhs.
You both have been through so much recently. It could break the camels back!
