Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

This morning's level was 8.2! I thought...maybe a bad strip or something. Jabbed a different finger - 9.1! Way higher than my usual. I think my attempt at a liver block may have backfired...just some nuts though. 5.9 a few hours later.

Some nuts can be too carby if too many munched. Try a simple cheese?

Thanks. I still don't get the big difference in readings between two fingers seconds apart. 8.2 and 9.1 ! I don't expect a perfect match but that's quite a difference. I thought the first reading was bad till I saw the second one. Either way....tooooo high. Off to bed now...no liver block...let's see how it goes.

Looks like this Gliclazide is going to be a little difficult to control. Tested last night before bed and 4.6 so decided, maybe unwisely to pop a glucose tablet, and woke this morning with a 3.7. This morning I have noticed vision problems like looking at a very badly pixelated screen or an 8 bit game It clears up mostly in 5 minutes)

I am not sure whether or not to take my morning 80g Glic or not. I am going to make some porridge and banana with a coffee and see how I go. I may look at halving my evening dose. I am I little lost now and maybe double guessing myself. Any advice gratefully received.

6.3 @ 5.45
Surprised it was that, considering the night I had. Cramp in both legs at 4am and a night of dreaming I was about 20 again and had a new boyfriend! Also dreaming about treacle on the floor and lots of ants crawling over everyone. Final dream (nightmare) was working in a bank and a business paid in some weird 'cheques'! Guess I over did the cheese at 10.45 pm

Well done you darling Vicky, your story is amazing. Your strength staggering. I hope you're not suffering too much today. xx

4.7 this morning. Long (but good) day yesterday - daughters 19th birthday, so we had an evening theatre trip to see La cage aux folle which was rather fabulous Another long one today with parents evening until 8pm.
