Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

5.0 this morning part of a good start - dogs and chickens fed and watered, 1 load of washing done, sprouts picked. Only downer was fitbit ate another 60+ mins sleep due to wife's restlessness with illness. Amazing day of sport - assuming Spurs don't collapse in heap at Anfield - not sure about watching whole of Superbowl as Patriots will somehow win and Brady will be the hero again. England should win well in Rome so all good.
Have a great day everyone!
I have to come out and say I have been a Spurs fan all my life, come on the boys (and girls, my daughter plays for them). I notice there are a few few ah hem Arsenal posters.

hope you are ok

Hello thank you - I am feeling a bit down about the FBS readings as it’s consistently higher than my other readings during the day. I was diagnosed last year and got my hba1c down from 81 to 48 in six months and decided to come off metformin over the last couple of months - I’ve read about the Dawn phenomenon and maybe that’s what it is but have tried very hard to eat low carb and not eat after 8pm and BG doesn’t ever go under 9. Thinking of restricting food after 6pm hoping it will help.

I'm new to all of this but the dawn thing is real. If I test first thing I have a goodish reading but without breakfast it soars. Unfortunately I have no intention of getting up at 4am to prevent it. I need to Google more

It goes to show how diabetes is different for us all as if I eat it stays around 9 but if I fast til lunch time BS is about 6/7. Thank you for your reply about it!
