Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Really frustrating for you. It seems to be common that bgs become a bit erratic after stopping metformin, I hope it settles down soon.

Thanks @DJC3 I am not testing and recording all the time atm so no idea of averages. It may all be fine averaged over a few days so I'll keep an eye and run a trial period. Probably wait util girlies have shown up and been shown to nanny. I'll content myself with telling my grandson he is still clan chief in waiting

Before I came off Metformin my bloods were consistently in the low 5’s but have been much more erratic on diet alone. Any variation has an amazing result sometimes and I can’t afford to lose anymore weight.

I’ve been off it over a year now and the slightest wee thing puts your figures all over the place even if your doing exactly the same as before !
Last night was a bad working night got a bit depressed finished early got home had oven chips and part of a mince round
so expected a high figure and what do I get a 6 oh I also had a scoop of franks strawberry diabetic ice cream

Maybe that’s the answer?

@Tipetoo Thanks for your support: I have no problems with the number 5.7; I was merely hoping for something a little lower!

@DJC3 Thanks for the commiserations & virtual kick up the rear to see things in perspective: I just can't get a grip on understanding the idiosyncrasies of this problem we all share!

Last night before bed; 6.8 (unusually high for me so I tested twice with the same result!)....... This morning @ 06.19; 5.2!
