Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Morning all. 8.3 this morning. Not good. Don't know why it's gone up. Was 7 when I went to bed. Good day to you all

(Saturday) Woke up at 5.30am feeling very weak & dripping in sweat. Very shaky when testing & was shocked to see the meter read 2.1. Two glasses of red wine, & obviously not enough to eat last night, contributed to the hypo. Once treat with a mini Mars bar followed by a slice of toast, all was ok with a BG of 5.0. But a hypo doesn't half wipe you out. I'm stopping in bed this morning. Have a good day folks. Good health.

7.8 this fine morning. I'm still at that "wow that's better, what a nice surprise but how on earth is it that" stage

Nice one P1ckle.

Hope you soon feel better Alison. Night time hypos are the worst.

5.9 this morning.
I didn't drink any beer yesterday, but had a 50cl carafe of red wine with dinner.
They brought me a small bowl of rice with my pork and ginger which I hadn't ordered but I think it was included. I resisted eating it all but I did have a couple of spoonfuls.
Still if I can stay at around 6 while I'm on holiday I think it's not too bad.

;) 5.5 this morning, this surprises me as I was at an awards dinner last night and Rose Rioja was on the table. It was a Carvery which is good. Starter was a bit naughty, cheese for dessert mmmm....
