7.0 this morning after an espresso and a very bad night.
Then 8 hilly miles walk to the pub for lunch (meat, cheese, bread, beer) and then 8 miles back with a stop for coffee and a (small) cake. 6.5 when I got home.

It is consistently above 8 no matter what I do, but my HbA1c is going in the right direction.

Generally at 0730 fasting test is 6.4 but goes up and down between 5.4 and 6.9.
I can now almost predict what it will be by what I ate the previous day and how well I slept.

Did you try to request for long acting met form in , I had gut issues with normal metformin but with long acting I feel much better

ive tested five times since 0400..7.2 6.7 two hours later 6.4 ,then one hour fast dog walk 5.2 retest 6.1 ..i agree very confusing ..

Being sick and was not eating much (read: anything). Last nigh before going to bed measured 4.1 and was feeling weak. In panic ate large high GI snack. Hour later BG was 9.1. Not good to let it swing that much.
