Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

The past few mornings it's been as high as 10, type 2 diabetic. It always gets higher overnight and I've tried a bedtime snack, no bedtime snack, an evening walk etc. It used to be around 9 in the mornings when I was working.... I guess retirement is a lot more sedentary.

Good morning. I woke early so decided to test with new meter and ....... 5.5 !! :)
WOW @mo53 Seems that it's been your last meter at fault - I bet that you've had low BG levels all along. Nevertheless! - doing the dance of victory with extra spins for you xxx

@snidge are you following a low carb eating method?
Drop more carbs and only protein before bed. Goodluck!
Hope to see you a lot lower soon. :)

Morning all
Things getting better!
Bed time bg = 5.6 have a biscuit
0113 = 4.6 jumpy feet had a biscuit
0600 = 6.7 had breakfast.
Light exercise today.
@scouse13 be careful of sugar. Takes your levels up and then stays up. That's ok for non-insulin resistant diabetics as they come back down quite quickly and encouraged to have a longer lasting carb. Insulin resistant sufferers don't have that privilege.
Try a protein snack to give you that tiny lift you needed. Sugar does not solve the problem long term.
Also sugar is addictive. Please be careful.
