Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

My BG going to bed was 7.7 had 1ounce edam before going and 1 ounce at 7.30 when my bloods were 16.1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not playing this stinking rotten game anymore.... I am throwing my toys out of the pram!

Propranolol can cause hyperglycaemia. And maybe the other non diabetic drugs are doing to. Check them out on Google and seek alternatives if need be.

Not feeling well since having breakfast, a lidl roll with butter. I don't know if the high bloods are as a result of this or if I don't feel well as a result of the bloods being high! Erm.... if you know what I mean...not sure I do!

I'd ring 111/NHS Direct if I were you. It could be you are getting flu or some other illness which could explain your symptoms and raise your blood sugar. Best wishes.

The doctor may not know. Mine didn't. Pharmacies do. Check Google.

I've done some quick searching & so far found conflicting comments - American Diabetic Association does say that Propranolol causes hyperglycaemia, but other results are less clear. I will wait to talk to my GP before stopping the pills - he specialised in diabetes during his training, so he might actually know.....that's one of the reasons I've chosen to see him. Thanks for the heads-up though :)
