Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

02.11.2016
Blood Glucose reading this morning at 8am was 6.6

A quick question for anyone out there who may know - approximately 4 weeks ago I had my annual flu vaccination, since then I have felt slightly unwell, with odd days where I really feel unwell with cold like symptoms. I am a women of a certain age so the feeling hot cannot be used as a guide, but otherwise headaches, streaming nose some days, odd sneeze and generally do not feel great - just wondered if anyone else was suffering similar symptoms following the flu jab?

How to begin? For the second day in a row I woke up at 4.30 am. I don't remember whether I was clammy again. I took two successive readings which were similar to yesterday, 6.2 and 5.5. 45 minutes later, 7.4. 15 minutes later, 7.2. 1 hour later, 8.0, so I got up and had breakfast of scrambled egg, and a cup of tea, no additional carbohydrates. I took my medication and went back to bed at 7 am and got up at 11.am and took another reading, 4.5 so I had my usual breakfast/brunch.

I contacted the nurse yesterday with results and there's not a peep so far from her.

Hey Guys, It would be good if you list what medication you took before and after dinner. Also, what did you have for dinner??
My FBG was 9.7 this morning. I had curried soya chunks with cabbage. But naughty me could not resist a very sweet 'naan katai' biscuit after dinner. No Medication. Dropped to around 7 during the day.

You are doing very well with the numbers.

Thanks Keesha. The nurse has replied and agrees to me changing my Lantus to taking it in the morning instead,
