Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Ladies and Gentlemen - We continue to receive comments and complaints of off-topic posts and derailing relating to multiple posters on this thread (and others), and it can't go on.

Please keep this thread on track, or there will have to be further deletions, with the potential for escalating to more extreme censure. This is not a desirable position for anyone, but frankly it is in your own hands.

Where other topics are to be discussed, please do it on other threads or in PM.

Last night's reading was a good one ellagy.
7.3 at 8.30am I had been up half hour sorting out dogs etc. Is it normal to have a higher reading in the morning one day last week it was up to 8.2. Should I be checking as soon as I get up.

It could be "the dawn phenomenon" ..... ie the liver starts to dump sugar if your levels are too low during the night Normal fasting level is 4-7. I hope that helps..

Thanks asparagusp I was wondering if it was something like that. I have read something about the liver dumping sugar but didn't realise it could affect your levels. I will test as soon as I get up tomorrow to see if that reads lower.
