Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Hi folks. Still recuperating & appetite not quite back to normal yet. Consequently, my BG is on the low side. Lots of nutritious, high energy snacks are helping. Chocolate covered Brazil nuts, oat cakes & trail mix...small portions of them all every few hours, are stopping me going too low. This morning, my BG was 3.7 at 7am. Craving fish fingers & crab sticks now.

Brilliant slide, how often we face the conundrum - what does what and what contra's what

I've not been posting so much here recently because I am hacked off with morning levels being up around 6.6-7.2 for a while for no reason I can find. I was down around 5.4 - 5.8 a wee while ago. Today, I even hit a 9.8 around 4pm, having eaten nothing the whole day. Things drop to under 6.0 by midnight. Not sure what's going on atm.:(

Likewise I hit a 8.8 yesterday at 4pm after eating a very small lunch at 1pm, I went for a 2hr walk at 2pm, after checking my BG post 1hr meal was 6.2 towards the last 30mins of walking I felt a bit hypo weak legs etc, when I got in at 4pm BG was at 8.8 so I assume my liver thought I needed a boost and dumped on me, so given how I felt on the walk, I'm thinking a (false) hypo, I fasted the rest of the day, now this morning BG is 6.0.

I find this happens every now and then, bit of a pain in the rear but at least it settles does down.

Fbg steady 5.6 again.
I had ice cream with kids yesterday.
90% chocolate gives me no spike just the taste for more chocolate. Hoping it helps blood pressure.

@Stallen are you lchf dieting? As I find the same. Shaking like a hypo whilst walking. Maybe the carbs in diet are better at suppling smooth energy for exercise. Our body has to work harder to change protein into energy. Whey protein supplements also give hypers. Protein might only be good for muscle repair not energy?
Try and have some of your carb allowance just before exercise?

Tesco garage have it on 2 bars for £3 so I'm going to have a pancake next week with it melted and double cream added. I like my pancakes wet. ;-)

5.1 :( Up early as having new toilet fitted. Plumber due shortly.
