Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

6.7 *shrugs* just one of those days, no rhyme, no reason

4.7 today and 5.1 yesterday. I got a bit too lax with my carbs over the weekend (a few cold beers, a sausage roll, a couple of other things). It doesn't appear to have affected my morning FBG but I shudder to think what my spikes were. Last time I tested after a shortcrust pastry my level went to 14!

I've had white bread, so spiked to 16.2 last night but I was reluctant to take extra insulin. I need more low carb groceries. (Protein rolls or wraps)
Fbg 8.6 . No surprise. I need to get my heart back into lchf.
But I did enjoy my 2 mini stotties with butter.

Afternoon All

Been missing a couple of days too, but with rather less pleasant reasons.

Struggled out of bed on Sunday after an all night nosebleed that I could not stop.

FBG then was 7.9.

Although I was due to take the wife down to Portsmouth to pick our daughter up, a trip to A&E was felt to be more appropriate.

Got it stopped around 11.00, some 18 hrs after it started and the doctor explained he needed to pack it, which would be extremely unpleasant and painful.

Apparently, I did have the alternative of bleeding to death, but I really didn't fancy that one.

He was right about the pain, and he then announced they needed to transfer me to Calderdale and a specialist

By teatime I had learned that the packings would be in place at least 24 hrs and my FBG had risen to 12.9. The NHS staff remarked - that's pretty good for a type 2 and I almost fell off the bed laughing - probably would have done if it didn't hurt so much.

Another dreadful nights sleep but I was a bit better at 7.0 this morning, but this little experience has wreaked havoc with figures
@Tim55 my fbgs are fluctuating but my routine is well out.
Has your med routine been irregular too.
Come on @Tim55. We know how to keep steady. Let's do good management for ourselves. We ARE worth it.
I know grief makes us do crazy things. I'm eating white bread, knowing it doesn't work for me but I'm feeling wounded from the loss.
Let's do this together. Get ourselves back on track. We will feel better and less emotional on our good routine. Please @Tim55 .

Morning All

Out of hospital means I am back in control, so I've started ALA, B1 and B12 again but I am not taking another Naproxen for some time......

FBG today was 6.5 which is considerably higher than I had got used to, but not too bad under the circumstances

9.9 at 10am

These low figures for me way way better than averaging 27.4 like I was 3 months ago

10.1 at 8.35am
Nothing to eat since 5pm the day before (15 1/2 hr fasting), also nothing bad to eat the day before........ will have to think about this one!
