Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

Good morning all. I was 7.0 this morning after a 6.7 at bedtime last night. I'm a bit disappointed as I've not had a 7 since 10th March. Maybe the 1 slice of toasted LiveLife bread with dinner last night was to blame. I also forgot to take my 100ml red wine medication before bed. Today, I have my first 3 month review with my DN and, as I already know my HbA1c on 27/4 was 42, I'm quite looking forward to it.
 
Definite dawn phenomenon today:
Bedtime 5.5;
7am when got up to let dogs out 4.4;
Returned to bed until 8am, then tested again pre-breakfast shake at 8.20 - 5.7!
 
6.8 this morning - yesterday was still not snack-free but did a 2 mile walk and a 5 mile cycle ride and most of the snacks have either been consumed or disposed of!
 
8.8 - Much higher than normal of around 7.0.

Had few drinks and pizza last night - lesson learnt !
 
5.2 Last night I pigged out on a full packet of Nachos with a home made dip of full fat yoghurt with mango chutney stirred in .... and seem to have gotten away with it.
 
Diabetic nurse OK with am readings but wants me to try 10 units of insulatard in the evening for a week to help bring my night time and evening sugars down :rolleyes
 
Boing, boing, bouncy, bouncy

Higher again at 7.1 after a late wakeup this morning - I feel like Zebedee - bouncing all over the place. Maybe I should change to a new bouncy avatar too...

I'm about to ccompare my levels for this time last year, as I feel I'm going backwards now, and not forwards anymore, but hopefully it's just because I'm getting ****** off.

If it has to be, it has to be... Diet control is harder for you with your other conditions limiting what you can eat. Fingers crossed it does the trick
