Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

8.6 mmol / L this morning.
6.8 mmol / L at bed time.

High fasting reading due to:
1) lay in - probably past Dawn Phenomenon.
2) Chip Shop Chips - I should know better! ;)

Also, probably due to not being able to sleep straight away and slight indigestion.

Morning!

Up early cos were off to Cornwall this morning for a fortnight, yay! and tested much earlier than usual and got a 3.9 eek!

Let the dog and cat out and did a couple of bits, tested again and 5.3. Whats that all about?

Probably your first test was before your Dawn Phenomenon - you were up earlier than your body would normally expect.

After moving around your liver dumped some glucagon stores to raise your blood glucose to keep you going at your activity level. Looks to me either you needed it and burned it off or your pancreas counteracted the liver dump fairly effectively. May be a mixture of both?

Enjoy Cornwall - lovely part of this country! :D

Hola

In the new forest for the week. Intermittent wiFi.

Yeasterday fasting 5.2 as 5.2 this morning too.

Hope all is rosy in everyone's garden.

SD Codefree from Home Health in Watford. They are normally very good. Hint; don't buy from them on eBay as they charge more to cover their eBay fees so order direct from their website.
Thanks for sharing. Saved me something.

Good Morning All..:) waves 7.4 this am ...sun is shining and looks like a lovely day ahead :joyful:

It's now really Sunday morning and all's well at

A naughty 4.3 weekend nearly over just a little matter of Man Utd vs Arsenal, looking forward to our last home game of the season with the Stretford End crowd.

Have a great day
