Re: Type 2's : What was your fasting blood glucose in a morn
I guess that the liver dumps glucose into the system to get you up and ready for the day.
My readings are between 6 and 7 first thing in the morning. But I seldom measure before breakfast.

Somewhat puzzled. BG 6.7 before breakfast of 2 slices of Burgen toast with Bertolli spread and marmite and 170gm victoria plums but only 4.9 two hours later. :?
Re: Type 2's : What was your fasting blood glucose in a morn
I can't work out why I spend my fasting levels used to be 7 odd and they have been getting progressively lower and lower which pleass me greatly as it proves I am going in the right direction.
Then last week they started going up again. Every day it would be higher than the day before. This morning it was 7.9.
I am not doing anything differently and always check at about 9am.
Can anyone shed any light on this please?
I have another blood test on Monday and an appointment with the head doctor at my practice next week and am worried that she will put me on some sort of diabetes drug.( She is very much like a head teacher and I don't get on with her that well...)
I am also having a 'non fasting ' blood test which seems rather strange. I thought fasting was essential.
