Sunday 3.7mmol/L this am. Early rain, but cleared up to a bright sunny afternoon. Good for running - if only!
@Pasha, how are you doing a 16 hour fast? Is it overnight - after dinner to lunch? And are you maintaining the calories?
Jason Fung says it is important to eat to satiation after a fast, to keep the metabolism in good order, but you probably know that already.

And yes, the cricket is a little disappointing at present, but will improve, I 'm willing to believe.
I wish there was more time between Tests, don't you?

5.7 am,
which is (i) higher than of later, first 5 for sometime... (ii) 2 hours later than normal, had a sunday doze in.... and (iii) odd yesterday, 5.7 before dinner, 5.6 two hours after dinner... lunch had some carbs in....
will see later how it goes....

Great FBG Merrylizzard.3.7 is eminently chuffable, actually its a CTS to the power of 3 at least.

My FBG this morning was 4.44. ie higher than usual, must be because of the result of the first test. The poms really were far better in all depts.
Anway, did fast from 13:00 hours till 05:00 hours, no real difficulty. Yes maintained the diet isocaloric otherwise it can not be used as a comparison. will give it a few more days and see how things work out.
Pity about the cricket ,its become a very commercial circus. When I was young the teams travelled by ship, and when they arrived had a good few warm up matches. The time gaps between the tests were longer and there was great excitement on the big day when it all began. Tickets were more affordable and children with their fathers/grandfathers could all go along together. In England its now quite expensive, pity. Still thats how they get the money to pay the big salaries is it not.
Luckily its such a great game,it has survived and even developed. There are now 3 versions, I dont like the pyjama version.

@Pasha
New to forums too, still getting the hang on replying, sorry.

Not specifically, pretty new to this. Diagnosed 3 months ago. Trying to low carb though :(

A nice low 4.7 for me today after spending yesterday at Blackpool Pleasure Beach

5.7 today at 9 am, which although higher than the normal range, is my best Sunday reading since I started measuring my FBG. :)

Morning Folks

5.7 for me on this nicely brightening Yorkshire morning.

Personally, I thought the Yorkshire cricket team did rather well in the test....

Morning all.

A bit of a lay in bed this damp morning, so late on parade.

A few naughty things to eat last night so fasting result was 5.7 @ 10:00am.

No post yesterday as strip failed and I didn't have supplies at hand to use another for a retest! :( Kind of goes with the whole day - hey, ho!

This morning:
Blood Glucose 6.9 mmol / L
Ketones 0.4 mmol / L

Before bed:
Blood Glucose 9.3 mmol / L !!
Ketones 0.6 mmol / L

Hoping to start my blog on here later about my Intermittent Fast N=1 experiment undertaken this week.

Will see what today brings.

Late on parade....5.2 FBG after some scary levels yesterday experimenting with foods. Still life in the old pancreas yet but won't be scaring the life out of it again like I did yesterday :p:rolleyes:
