Re: Type 2's : What was your fasting blood glucose in a morn
5.6 this morning.
Must admit I've always wondered about DP. I don't know enough - despite extensive reading and testing!! My morning BS is higher than when I go to bed - but is this DP or just a 'rebound' from having been low previously.
Haven't been there much this year (but getting there) when my fasting BS is in the 4s it has not risen much from earlier as I would have been at hypo levels. I find that after a while the 4s become my 'background' level so the levels stay there.
If you fast during the day your BS will find it''s (then) level which will vary depending on your own background BS level at the time. So - is that what is happening during the night?
I don't know where I am with things anyway as I am retired (after working nights for many years) so I go to bed about 5/5.30 and get up about 12 noon.
Sorry, just my thoughts as I don't really know the answer and, in any case, we're all different!!
