Do I look like the type that jokes:rolleyes:
;) saying nothing that might incriminate me :D. Sorry can't help ad using the app on my phone - afraid I've not sussed out searching other threads with it. Maybe if you copy his Q to here, get some replies then post them back to other thread? Time I hit the hay, catch you tomo - and don't test ALL those jaffa cakes at once ;)

I've just succumbed to sinus and chest infection :sour: Dinner sounds nice tho' :playful:
Oh no... poor you... I do hope it's over quickly, but I don't suppose it will be... Are sinus problems a feature of diabetes then? Or is it a bug going around that we've picked up? Dinner was lovely... :) I made the cheese sauce from stuff in the fridge... a bit of left-over Philly, some whipping cream, cheddar, mustard and garlic and onion powder... very lazy and very tasty.. You need to put some chilli and garlic in your food to help boost your immune system too... chilli con carne if you're a meat eater, with lamb mince, peppers, celery and mushrooms and just a few kidney beans would do you good... :chicken::chicken::chicken::chicken: Now I need to feed and water my four cats and stop them from eviscerating each other I suppose - they've woken me early this morning... :grumpy: Get better soonest...

I personally would rather use new each time and as I get them for free any way, might as well. I only submitted my findings so that members could make up their own minds about reusing the needles or not. I did find another thread on here that had quite a few replies, some for and some against, so I started a new thread with poll to refresh the subject.
My husband goes nuts if I re-use a needle.... I don't know if he researched it or not, but he's a bit concerned about stale blood on the old one I think... He's away so I can't ask him... :)

I get them as soon as I start running out. The last lot I got for my "New Blingy Monitor" was 100 (2 x 50 boxes) + 200 single use Lancets.
So yes I can monitor myself as much as I want really but don't go overboard in case I get questioned as to why I'm using so many. At the moment I'm using about 6 a day so that I can monitor what foods make me spike and which don't. I then make a little note listing the good stuff.
I keep a diary too... when my numbers are bad I look back and see when they were good and what I ate the night before... it doesn't usually work if I repeat it though for some reason... :(

84mg/dl or 4,66 mmol. Happy with that!

Not sure quite how but weighed in at 87,5kg this morning. Even happier about that!

It's lovely. My banana cake recipe that my eldest daughter tried with apple yesterday and so I just had to try it too (especially as I wanted to try out the soya flour again using the gum) I will post it tomo - in bed reading now. Please remind me if I forget. Hope your asthma let's you get good night's sleep
Morning 7.2 on waking. Not had a great night only about 4 hours then broken sleep. Will try and catch up later after asthma nurse and prof have been round.

Hi Kimbo. As you probably know I'm fairly new to this diabetes thing but one thing i have picked up on are B S levels and forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't a reading of 4.9 slightly low? I know it's not dangerously low but I would be a little frightened to go to bed with a figure like that. I'm probably very wrong, if so please let me know.:)
Morning Adrian! As @Bluetit1802 says, for us not on insulin it can happen, most nights I take a virtually carb free hot chocolate to bed (cocoa, sweetener and cream) and sometimes a piece of cheese or a square of 80/90% dark chocolate to please my liver! This morning when I was wide awake at 4am I tested and was 5.3, a nice fasting figure for me and on target. Are you insulin dependent?

5.7 , high end of my usual fives, but no concerns ate a small LC snack a lot later than usual last night.

Wet and windy outside but since I work inside again no worries.

I hope you all have a great POETS day, I know I will.

5.3 this morning when I first woke at 4am, I couldn't get back to sleep listening to the wind here, ended up with my earphones in listening to a favourite soft slow track on repeat, eventually drifted back at 5.30am until 7am alarm
Thinking back to last night's bedtime 4.9, I had a fairly active evening after dinner at 6pm as I had a wardrobe delivered and was moving things, around and sorting out clothes etc and obviously as Mike down under has mentioned, exercise after eating seems to work better!
