Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

Hello All,

Hope you are all well and fitting fit. :D

I have seen the thread in fasting blood glucose, but was wondering what they are for only Type 2's.

Mine are between 4.5 and 6.0 depending on what I have eaten / drunk the night before.

My morning readings are the only readings I have a problem with, they are usually between 6.8 and 7.3, and I just can't get them any lower, the rest of the day Im in the 5s - 6s before and after meals. I'm on no medication at present

I am Type 2 and my morning fasting readings are usually between 5 and 6.9. I used to get 4s as well but not for several months now. For more details see the other morning thread.

Hi my fasting reading this morning was 11.8, thats about the lowest they are all day

after 11 hours fasting my levels were 4.5. now off to doctors to do my hba1c and my colesteral. dredding the colesteral result/ il let you all know the outcome next week.

2 hours post-breakfast 6.1

Today 6.3, but can vary between 5.5 & 6.9

7.2 this morning, 12 hours after eating. I never had my bed time glass of red wine last night so I'll blame that.

My last hba1c was 6.1 on a 'normal' carby diet occassional chips and unhealthy white bread. :D

6.4 which is usual for me.

Fasting: 5.5 this morning, around 9 hours after dinner
This can vary between 4.8 to & 6.9 or even higher, this depends on what I eat the previous night.
I have been trying very hard to control with diet.

only had my meter 2days, yesterday was 5.5, this morn 6.3. Hoping to keep these numbers, only time will tell.

Most mornings mine is approx 7-7.5. I was only diagnosed in June so I have no idea whether this is ok!!!
