No wait - it was 6.6

Double booooo

4.4 this morning, about 90 minutes after getting up. I tested immediately after having my bloods taken, just to see how my meter aligns, on that reading anyway.

The rest of the morning was spent racing around from pillar to post, picking up something I had ordered on Friday, and packing it for FedEx picking up a little while ago. Thank goodness that bit is done. I also picked up some supplies for an upholstery project I should get on with. I love a project, and the bigger the better. I'm working up to something quite mega, in the number of items involved, but that'll probably be in the new year, by the time I get my act together and make a diary space to do it in.

Hey ho.

5.6, up a bit earlier than usual.

Distracted by the news of Robin Williams, I tested a bit later this morning. 7.2. Not good

Distracted by the news of Robin Williams,

Yes that's very sad - another tragedy presumably brought about by the aftermath of success, drugs and alcohol. RIP Robin.

6.2 this morning. Ate very little yesterday so guess my liver has been keeping me going.

4.6 for me this morning, which is just over my personal range. I'm not going to get too overwrought about it just yet, as I'm still in a settling in period, being back in the Frozen North (aka UK), and cooking for myself, until my personal chef (OH) comes home in October. I haven't been naughty in any way, except that I am eating more veg and less salad than when abroad. That may be making a difference, and if that's it, I'll have to accept the minuscule rise, as that's how I believe things will be in the colder UK climate (in the autumn/winter months anyway).

Today I really need to get some more gardening done, as the weather appears to have moderated again. I love my garden, but I hate to see it looking less than its best. It's not dire, but there are more weeds than I generally tolerate.

I also have to steel myself to clearing through my wardrobes. I have so many clothes that just need to go., but when I go through my wardrobes, there are also some things that have lovely memories attached to them, and frankly, I find myself putting those items back in. I do have some things that I will never discard, and I have a good, secure, sealed, storage area in the loft, where I have some special things. That area may have to be expanded a bit. I can't decide if that's being silly, so I'll maybe give myself a bit of leeway on the special bits.

And, I have to go to the jeweller today, but I already know what he's going to say. There may be tears. Whilst away, I wear very little jewellery, and certainly no rings, because of the amount of time we spend on boats, and the dangers of de-gloving injuries that implies, so my jewellery stays in the safe, in UK. But, the upshot is, I have 2 important (to me) rings which are now too big. I was warned, when they were made that they couldn't be altered, due to their style and design. I'll go and take his advice before discussing it with my OH, as he may recommend a keeper ring to make then secure. Depending on how that might look, I might compromise.

I know these are stupid, silly, superficial concerns, and so many people have far more and important concerns, but that's how life goes sometimes.

5,6 today. Another late evening meal at 10pm after a game of football then after dinner had some nuts so was still grazing at 11.30. Not good!!
