Bedtime - 6.3
Fasting - 7.3 at 4 am

Mega early start to catch a flight to visit my daughter and granddaughter for the day.

Happy Wednesday everyone

Good morning and best of health to all.

4.1 on this cold wet morning. Last night I went to bed on 4.3.
All in all just a little too low.........my comfort range is when I'm between 4.5 and 5.3 mmol.
:-)

4.9 now that's a surprise, not alcohol effected.

No retest with vagaries of our meters could just as easily be in the usual 5's for me.

Half day at work then some chores around the house and my first eye test since diagnosis.

Have a great one all.

8.2 at bedtime
6.8 at fasting

I'm really puzzled but pleased at the same time that the fasting reading is much lower than the bedtime one.

I thought it would be higher because I was really hungry last night and I gave in to a small bowl of cereal :shy: I know that was naughty but it was nice! I use to live on cereals!!

I don't usually have the need to eat anything after my evening meal so last night was a rarity.
Don't know if by having a snack before bedtime.... Lowers the fasting bs?

6.6 :bigtears: it was 7 after one hour.. didn't test again... Don't know why it's so high... had rare beef and homemade coleslaw for supper, with a thin slice of almond cake and a blob of CoYo... I must be breeding something this week I think... Trying not to let it affect me, I know it doesn't help...

6.2 this am..... cold isi almost gone for the second time this year grrrrrrr am wondering why i am getting when I not had for a few years ...hate sniffles and coughs ....have a great day everyone :)

I've just looked up Forxiga... it sounds like a wonder-drug, doesn't it? The European Commission has just approved it, as well as NICE... why doesn't everyone get it? It apparently reduces weight and blood-pressure... surely, it would save the NHS a fortune? And it would make people feel better....
Still waiting to hear about my prescription :-( must ring the nurse today

Sometimes a snack, low or carb free can keep our livers happy overnight and stop them dumping thinking we are in need - I've often had a square of cheese with my carb free hot chocolate at bed! Guessing your cereal treat would have given you a rise at 1 or 2 hours but you obviously came back down nicely by morning

I started on forxiga back in late June after a week of metformin that I couldn't tolerate, had expected nurse practitioner to swap me to the slow release but he gave me forxiga saying it was new, apart from a mild bout of thrush at the start I got on great with it, combined with strict lchf and exercise I got my hba1c from 61 to 53 in 6 weeks and to 38 in 18 weeks, by the I had lost over 3 stone. My GP advised in December to. Stop taking it in January given I had reduced to non-diabetic level, which I did. Hba1c last week was 39, given I'm meds free now I'm ok with that- total loss now just over 5 stone too.
