7.6 opps I knew I shouldn't have bought the kids ( well teenagers now ) Easter eggs so soon succumbed to temptation ..now I've got to buy another egg and lament the rise in my BG

Just popped in to say bye bye for a week. Off on holiday tomorrow (Alnwick in Northumberland). There is no wifi in the cottage, and probably no phone signals of any use. I'll be back in a week and will post my fastings for the week. Defo going to get withdrawal symptoms without internet! Be good everyone. x :)
Lovely part of the country , enjoy the scenery and people very friendly , my granddad was born in alnwick, ::))

Another beautiful day.
4.2 this morning.

5.7 here, hopefully out of that run of 6s now.

6.2 this morning, after 7.8 last night, made a pizza for family.... will need to do something else for myself in future... weekend routine a bit different to weekdays, eat later in the day and go out to lunch on a saturday.....
Kippers for lunch.... hmmmm fish.....

What is this bullet proof coffee I keep hearing about I suppose I should google :)
It's coffee blitzed in the blender - or NutriBullet - with, for me, a large tsp of proper, good quality grass-fed butter and another of pure coconut oil.. I suppose you could use a hand blender, or a whisk too... It comes out like a creamy latte or cappuccino... some use more and some less of the fats.. sometimes I put a dash of cream in too.. :) I use espresso with a little hot water, but I like it strong... I do the same with cacao - add some Stevia, dash of cream and sometimes a spoonful of peanut butter, water, off the boil, and it's lush..... It came from a chap who watched the sherpas in Nepal go all day on a can of tea - they whisk it up with fermented yak's milk and butter of course - they can last all day, climbing in freezing conditions, on it.. :) So this chap developed a more palatable and easy way for us to nourish ourselves... we'd find it hard without a yak in the backyard I imagine... But you actually don't feel hungry, so when you're on the run, it's really good - I put mine in a small flask if I'm really rushing around... :)

I do believe you're right... :) I am going to try it out when I get home on Wednesday... So much rain here we cannot film, so we're stuck in Doha for a few more days... I tested 6.9 this morning... salmon and steamed veg for supper... didn't sleep well...blinding headache, unlike me, since last night... upped my water intake, though I drink a lot anyway... it is slowly receding... it is wall-to-wall thunderstorms here in the Middle East and I often react badly to them... is it enough to put my numbers up to that terrible reading do you think? And, of course, although it's my way of life, I am outside my home environment and my routine, such as it is...
Can't recall what your numbers were but headaches and such affect mine. Esp a weather headache as its the atmospheric pressure that causes them so goodness knows what other effects it has. The phrase "under the weather" for poorly has sound basis.....my headache is sinuses today as we've got a gorgeous spring morning. Hope you're feeling better soon and the weather brightens up for yu too

Hi mike I am a veggie for 3 years now my problem is no exersize and sweet stuff sometimes I slip on suger goodies thanks
Do you eat a lot of beans and pulses then? Many are high carbohydrate which can shoot blood sugars up in some. Altho many are low GI/GL which some people tolerate well they still spike others...

5.3 this morning
Absolutely different day here today, no wind, sunshine since the sun got up.....spring is here today:)

6.1 after I had lain waiting for two hours for Mr E to fetch morning cuppa and monitor. Shoddy service and I will be complaining to the manager.

5.1 this morning. Happy with that as I was out last night and had a few glasses of red wine and got up late due to working silly hours the last few days :)

I don't seem to get the liver dumps.
Why?

It's a biological fact that we all get the liver dumps - it's just that not everyone's pancreas can counter them effectively due to our Diabetes.

Yours, @JACKTHELAD, seems to counter your liver dump effectively. May be that's because your pancreas has had a rest overnight. You must be in a good place as far as your pancreas is concerned. NICE! :D
