Good gracious, yes, this thread has turned toxic.
But it wasn't the original post that made that happen.
More posts have been deleted for antagonism.
There are many, many people out there who are either vegan or considering becoming vegan, who read widely on the internet.
They encounter all sorts of information from the most fundamentalist thinking, to pseudo-science, to genuine science.
They are all entitled to read and discuss in order to form an opinion - and so long as this forum, both mods and members, are here under the current set of forum rules, then people are entitled to express those opinions.
Rudeness, hostility against people who eat differently from yourselves, and shouting them down, will do nothing except push them away. It will also drive them further from creditable science and into psuedo-science.
This thread is being closed, not because of anything the original poster did, but because established members on this forum just seem to want to argue.
