Hi all
I have been type 1 for 7 months now so am still honeymooning I think.
I take 8 units of lantus at bedtime and about 8 to 12 units novarapid during the day. Am curious to know what amounts others are taking etc

I been type 1 for 4 months but my doses higher. 18 lantus once a day, then 22 Novorapid split over meals.

Type 1 since October 2014. Taking 5 lantus and 2 or 3 novorapid with meals although I don't take any for breakfast as I head to hypoland mid morning. Some days I only need lantus and others I need 4 novorapid with a meal but generally it's been the same since diagnosis.

Type 1 since December and I'm exactly the same - I also take 8 units of Lantus and around 6 to 12 units of NovoRapid per day.

Type 1 for 17 years. Currently taking 18 units of levemir once a day and around 22 units of Novorapid split between meals.

Type 1 / LADA for nine months and take 2 x 3u Insulatard and (usually) 3 x 2u Novorapid. I'm Df still in my honeymoon. It's been static for the last four months.

Type one for 11 months and my honeymoon is over so now I take 16 units of Lantus at morning and 12-18 units of Apidra daily

Nearly 8 months in, taking 4 lantus and 7 novo a day

type1 42 year, 11 units of tresiba and around 14/20 units of humalog split over meal times but this varies as I carb count, so depends on what I eat

Type 1 for 16 years and my doses vary on carb intake.

Yesterday though I took:

Basal 36.6 units
Bolus 42.4 units

Type 1 since June 2013, now on a pump. take about 4 units basal and about the same as bolus each day.

Hi type1bri, I was diagnosed June 2014 and I take 7units of lantus however that can fluctuate to 5 or 6 depending on my hormones! And I take between 10 and 12 apidra per day but that can go up at times. My levels can be unpredictable which can be frustrating. I got a half unit pen which helps.

Type 1 since January. It only in the last 2 weeks I've got doses that work. Levemir twice a day, 8 units morning and night. Novorapid varies day to day depending on what I eat but I've been low carbing and averaging about 8 units a day.

T1 since January 2014. 8 units of lantus in a morning and up to 6 Novorapid on the weekends.

Hi, Type 1Bri, after nearly 36 years on insulin, now on 130-160 CHO, have a variable TDD, now on the pump so TTD a bit lower, averaging around 18 or 18.5 units, but within that, variable, sometime as low as 16.0, (or less if have a brisk walk) , sometime up to 23, (or a lot more if ill), randomly. Today 17.525 as ate more CHO. When diagnosed insulin use was a bit less as i was a few pounds lighter in weight. At that time insulin use was always expressed as an amount per kg of body weight, that would probably have been on a standard 160-180 CHO diet in my hospital. Ann

Diagnosed type 1 January 2012 as a result of pancreatitis. I am 61 years old and overweight (13 stone now but 11 stone prior to diabetes). 20 units of Lantus each night and 10-12 units NovoRapid spread over three meals during the day.]

T1D since May 2014

I take 12u Lantus every night, and use a 1:14 Carb ratio for meals... So it all depends of what kind of junk i eat each day lol

Type 1 for 2 years. I take 17 units Levemir before bed and between 20 and 30 units Novorapid depending on carb intake. My insulin to carb ratios are varied with 1:10 at breakfast and lunch and 2:10 at evening meal.
