That's wonderful!I haven't had such an all round good set of figures since I caught it.
Its a bit difficult to tell as I am still recovering/ convalescing from being ill for so long. The repeat infections over 2 months have knocked me for six. That's wonderful!
But equally as important, are you feeling better as well?
I have reduced my carbs to 50g a day, only eat when I am hungry, and increased my fats. I am counting calories - 1200 a day or so, as I am one of those who can't eat as much protein and fats as I want without it affecting my weight, and I am consciously trying to lose weight.Well done, @lucylocket61 .Very pleased for you, and it gives hope to others, too. So, what are the dietary changes?
Don't behave yourself, except on the foods part!fingers crossed I behave myself
Hi.so busy getting ready to go, but didn’t want to read and run (first time away from caring duty for 5 years - fingers crossed I behave myself)
Hug for the long journey back to better health .My hba1c has gone down to 45
I have lost 23lbs over the past 11 weeks.
I didn't start to gradually make my dietary changes until 11 weeks ago so my hba1c may appear to be higher due to the first month not being so low carb, and my 6 weeks of infections plus the recovery afterwards, and is now lower irl..
My blood pressure has gone back to normal 125/80
My liver function is really good again.
Maybe I have finally recovered from having covid 2+ years ago. I haven't had such an all round good set of figures since I caught it. I had the first variant, before vaccinations were available.
My inflammation markers are both very high, and my white blood count is borderline low, but that could be from the repeated infections too perhaps? I will have to ask my GP when I speak to him in about 2 weeks on the phone.
