That, and the link within it, was extremely interesting reading. Thanks @AndBreatheUnfortunately, I don't believe so. I don't believe pre-diabetes is an "actual" condition; more a warning of one.

Yes you can. I do subscription and so makes it easier.Does anybody know if you can claim vat relief on test strips and meters if you are pre diabetic?
Looking at the link in that I think it is a no for pre diabetes, however I am hypothyroid as well so possibly that would qualify me?Unfortunately, I don't believe so. I don't believe pre-diabetes is an "actual" condition; more a warning of one.

Hi Rachox, you are right in it being a grey area but I think it isn’t as it isn’t really a “sickness”. Just a warning that it might become one.It looks like a grey area to me, see paragraph 3.2.1. Is prediabetes a ‘chronic sickness’?
Edit to add the linkReliefs from VAT for disabled and older people (VAT Notice 701/7)

As diagnosed T2, treated by tablets, you are clear cut. Pre-diabetes is, in my assessment different.Yes you can. I do subscription and so makes it easier.
I test every morning and before and after meals if eating something new. Currently on 20g/day of carbs but want to gradually increase the carbs once at target weight so will definitely be testing more when I do that.Just out of interest how often do you do a finger prick blood test if you are pre diabetic ?
