Hi,
Could any one help with a suitable combination of green vegetables I could blend and drink regularly to lower my blood glucose and the time for taking it with present levels between 8 and 9 .Since all vegetables are not available everywhere in the world I will be grateful if you can suggest a replacement if in case I don't find what I need. I am in the UK at the moment.
Thanks

Welcome

Hi welcome to the forum and the UK. I don't do smoothies but I know that @Brunneria does so she may be along later to give you some ideas.

Hi and welcome!

Follow the link in my signature for some green smoothie recipes.

I usually use spinach or kale or lettuce, carrot tops,
Courgettes (zucchini)
Avocado
Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or cherries

But is you do a 'green smoothie' search for threads you will find a lot of suggestions. :)

Hi brunneria - may I ask how do I find your signature with the link? It would be great to get some juice recipes

I bought a Nutribullet just before diagnosis - I did try a couple of low carb mixtures - they increased my blood glucose faster than eating the ingredients separately - presumably the process makes the nutrients available faster, so it is in the back of the cupboard.
I might try using it to make icecream next year, but as an everyday part of my eating, it is a failure.

Ah, sorry @smurph37
I have changed my sig since making that post.

However, here is a link to a thread with some great green smoothie info. :)

and here is a link to a website with lots of recipes. Some are higher carb than I would use, but you can tailor make them as you like.
