Hi, have not posted for years, but here goes ,T2 and rarely have Hypos and usually run a little high but sometimes feel I need a little boost when in the gym lifting, usually a few jelly babies, not having hypos or anything I just start to flag toward the end of a workout sometimes.

Is there something better ?

What do you guys use ?

If you usually run your BG high, and you are not hypo, it is likely that your body is unfamiliar with the lower BG which is why you flag.
If this is the case, the best thing is to reduce your BG at all times.
Eating jelly babies will not help.

Yeah, that does sound more like the sensation of a false hypo, because you're running high all the time. Like In Response said, better blood glucose control would keep that from happening. And it would also help keep you from getting diabetic complications in the long run. You want those blood sugars down, not up. Try switching to protein rather than jelly babies? Fats would also be good, but the protein'd be better for your muscles, methinks. So... Have some cheese with you in the gym? Chicken with the skin on?

Good luck!
