Weekly weigh in - Fridays

That is a great result despite being ill and good luck with the 50K ride, keep us posted on your progress!

Well done.
How r u losing?
Do you weigh your food and calculate your calories?
Hi Jim, thank you. I am weighing everything religiously and keeping to 1400 calories and also keeping my carbs low, it is the first time in my life that I have eaten cheese, butter and cream and still lost weight! I am exercising (moderately, not intensively) for an hour 6 days out of 7 as well.

Hi Jennifer, I am so glad you are here on this thread and - wow- you are so inspirational to us too! Your chart is very interesting to look at, with a couple of ups as well as downs, but with an overall downward trajectory which is very encouraging to see as a disappointing result on the scale can scupper even the most stalwart of people. Keep up the good work!

Only shed a pound this week. I blame the scotch eggs!

Still, only a few pounds to go until I reach my third milestone of 17 stone.
Those scotch eggs!! But still a pound is still a pound gone and you are very close to that milestone!

Well done on the loss. I'm less than a week into my zillionth attempt. In 2 months I'll be 65. That means I've been overweight for 60 long years. I won't be holding my breath for success, but I keep on trying.

Me too, Jim - the 16st somethings are my goal too. And then a further few more stone off. Here for the long haul.

I had some of your carbs today: 10% Greek yoghurt with blackberries, a bit of 85% dark chocolate, a handful of Brazil nuts, and some broccoli & cauliflower. Well, similar, at least.

I know... they are my achilles heel.

I'm within touching distance of that milestone, so no scotch eggs for a while!

I see you've reached your big first goal - well done you.

I find this thread very useful, and encouraging. For me, and for others. So I hope it continues.

Thank you @LeafyArts. During July I had weeks of hardly moving, the chart shows this clearly, so I had to go 'back to the drawing board'. I stopped all sweeteners. I had been using more and more of a squirt here and there of Keto Maple Syrup. I'm convinced this stopped me losing. The only sweetener I now use is in the slimline tonic that's added to my gin tipple once a day.

Thank you @callyandy. I've tried many apps and Cronometer (the free version) suits me fine.

Keep on trying, I too have struggled with my weight all my life. Now that I have diabetes and have greatly reduced my carb intake, I am hopeful that this time, it will work.
I wish you all the best success, please keep us posted, it is great to have you here in this thread.

Have you tried making Scotch eggs? They appear quite easy to do using an air-fryer. There're lots of recipes on youtube for keto scotch eggs that are around 1g to 1.5g of carbs each. You've got me going having just researched recipes, I'll need to make some today now using pork scratchings instead of breadcrumbs .

Free for me too. x

85.9 today, another kg down. Maybe I'll change to cans of tomatoes for a while...29 so far. Kepp doing what you need to do folks. Have a good week. xx

Nothing lost, but nothing gained this week.

It's my birthday today, so now I've weighed I can eat my cake!
(Actually, I'm having a sirloin steak and fried mushrooms for lunch.)

Time for Plan B I think. I've given up sugar, but I haven't given up Stevia and Sucralose sweeteners. Also time to cut right down on my red wine intake too!
