Weekly weigh in - Fridays

I can vouch for you William. You're not overweight. You have a diabetic tummy, nothing more. Liver problem sitting above tummy so of course swollen. That's why you saw liver specialist. Humf. Durr. To lose weight apparently solves everything. Errr NOPE!
I lose loads of weight in past as I was desperate for a baby. Still didn't solve infertility. Metformin magic did. Obese using metformin to get pregnant.

Just remembered to weigh myself. Next week I'll try and do it on rising after toilet visit.
Weight 132.00kg 16.12.16
Hoping next friday will be a positive weigh-in.
Weight 132.20kg 06.01.17 so 0.20kg add over Christmas. Huge amounts of insulin and extra carbs.

I'm setting today as my new starting weight 132.20kg. And calling it week 1 for lchf purposes.

WEEK 1 = 132.20kgs see you at week 2 guys, goodluck everyone.

Readded I guess due to water retention. Seeing gp tuesday incase he wants to increase diuretic. Although on period too.
If no period and no water retention because of heart I'd be nearly a stone lighter, by my reckoning!

83 kg ( 182 Pounds ) again how is that possible on about 90 grams of carbs a day and about 1100 calories on average in this last week... hmmmmf
Your body is holding on until I get down that low too. What friendship.

Still 6 stone 9 might have to double up on the cream and avocados

CAROL

well done not gaining more in the Cristmas period ... we can´t do maximum effort like 365 days all the year around... and hardly gaining in Cristmas is really a goooooooooooooooooooooood result..

and loosing is not alway easy...

I know. I wish I understood weight loss as well as I do diabetes and thyroid, oh and pcos.
New challenge, new year?

hey just found that metformin apparantly can make people produse too little TSH , whish might be a gigantic problem to many hypothyroid people, as their test results would look likke they are to high in thyroid hormons levels in this situation.. like 50% too low production of thyroid stimulation hormon... which also according to some can be the reason to even more risk of bone-loss and fracktures--- well I am not really the last is a fact or just a mix up of what hormons affect density of bones...

http://www.hormones.gr/8479/article...yrotropin-suppression-is-not-associated….html

so if you take metformin you are maybe at a too low level of levothyroxine if the THS is the only indicator of your doctors decision of your level of levothyroxine...

Can i join in? I weigh myself daily but look at the average trend of loss using the happy scales app. I am just restarting dieting and need some help sticking at it.

I started trying to lose weight 1 Jan 2016 and stuck at it till October/November 2016, losing 4 stone. I gained a stone back with a few stressful months off and have now restarted losing weight. My next goal is to get under 14st7 which is the lowest i had got to, but next main goal is 13st2 where i stop being obese and become overweight.

1 Jan 2016 18st7
1 Jan 2017 15st7
Today 15st2.5

Lost 4.5 pounds this week.

If I had an overweight problem I would live on a starvation protein diet. but im the opposite im struggling to gain.

@edan welcome. There are many of us who post on here. It is a super supportive thread. You've done really well with your weight loss so far. Fantastic! Good luck with your next goal.

Thanks @Freema . My gp was running me a little higher but then i started with palpatations with the lchf diet combined.Although i have had higher carbs than 50g per day my thyroid results in hospital showed ok on 200mg. Im weaning myself back onto lchf diet, so we'll see. I'm prepared.

Yes, those meal replacements if done for the 3 meals double up as the 600-800 cals diet. Done that. You run the risk of anorexia hun on those done too strictly. We'll I do. So swopping one problem for another!

Welcome to the thread and congratulations on the weight loss! You'll find we're a friendly bunch

Good morning , 153 last week and 150.4 this week! I know it's small but it's a 2.6 lbs loss! Smashing! I don't mind small losses I just like to keep heading down! I'm happy
Not small!! That's over a kg and fantastic, but like you I don't mind small losses, I consider this a marathon, not a sprint and it must be a sustainable life change, no yoyoing here!! Welldone!!
