Brilliant news!!! congratulationsGood news for me this morning.
Lost another kilogram this week. This brings my total weight-loss to 8 kilograms in the 8 weeks since I was diagnosed as type 2.
My starting weight was 113 kg and now down to 105.
Welcome and well done on your success so far. Regarding waist size, I don't think there's an easy answer. I started at 44 in at end of September, down to 35 now, but it's slow because I've got an "overhang" to get rid of too. Unfortunately your body will probably loose the inches at it's own pace. We're running a marathon here. Can I join in please? I have managed to be reasonably good since diagnosis T2 in September but we had guests yesterday and I gorged on nuts. DH has his birthday Sunday so we are going out for a meal Saturday, Cosmo Sunday and a medieval banquet on Friday. I do intend to be careful and DH is quite happy for the contents of his plate to be rearranged to suit me but this could be the start of something bad.
I am 5ft 4. Currently weigh 81.1 kg. Want to lose another 2 stone . Waist 38. On 20 September I was 14st something
Blood pressure 97 66 83. In Sept I was HBa1c 51.
Is there a rule of thumb about how much weight I would have to lose to get a waist of 31? Until age 35 I was a skinny strip of wind and I totally refuse to be like that again.
Yup. True. But with less weight it must be getting easier. Good jobLOL
Thank you for providing a useful analogy. Thing is I now have to work harder at exercising.
I remember when I first got my fitbit in early October last year. I viewed 10k steps a day as a mountain to climb. My PB is now 50k+ steps, with a average around 20k. If given up telling my colleagues how far I walk at weekends since they think I am a bit nutsYup. True. But with less weight it must be getting easier. Good job
@rainbow79 - Just do again what you've done in the last week! You can do it, I have Faith in You = Well Done.
Well done. That is a brill result. You started the same time as me and reading off my belt I have only lost 5 inches. So far no overhang but after a rapid loss in the first month or so I think it has been a slow reduction. I have only been weighing myself since xmas and I think I have lost about 6lb in that time. My brain does not work in kg.Welcome and well done on your success so far. Regarding waist size, I don't think there's an easy answer. Keep going, you're getting there![]()
Thank youit's hard to decide when you have lost all the weight you need to as I still see a much bigger person when I look in the mirror, people tell me im tiny but don't see it, don't want to go to the other extreme and be too thin....
Thank you William. Sadly that's where my fat seems to settle.@callyandy - Well Done on your waist reduction.
A bit nuts helps!! It's when we hit totally bonkers we've got to worry.I remember when I first got my fitbit in early October last year. I viewed 10k steps a day as a mountain to climb.
