Hi and welcome to the forums.

I got my blood glucose back to normal within four months in early 2020 and have lost around six stone since. In that time I've eaten mainly meat, eggs, and dairy, with some vegetable. Meat covers everything from fish to steak, plenty of iron in that. Dairy has been cheese and cream.

Veg is generally green veg but I include onion and tomato, and some legumes which don't affect my BG. I've used bread substitutes from SRSLY low carb. No standard bread, potatoes, cereals, pasta, rice, fruit, pastry, nothing sugary.

I can honestly say that I've never been hungry and have always eaten as much as I wanted.

It's basically cutting out sugars and starches. This is the standard weight loss advice that used to be given up to around 1980ish. You don't have to go as hardcore as I did - I stick to around 20g carb/day, which is the rough equivalent of a slice of bread.

have a look at the "Success Stories" part of the forum - you'll see different approaches. You need to find out what works for you, though, as we all seem to react a bit differently to various foods.
