Hello all. Newly diagnosed here.
It's the start of my second week and the insulin is doing a great job and on my third day of metformin. My eyesight was getting blurrier for month before diagnosed. Last week my vision returned to better than it had been in a year, I was shocked! I'd already come to terms with having to wear glasses.
However, the last two days it seems my eyes feel really fatigued, and things up close (20 centimetres or closer) I cannot seem to focus on and I.can feel my eyes strain quite heavily.
When my vision returned to normal my BS was still around 10. Now it's down to 5.4~6.8 and I have this. When I was diagnosed my BS was 32 and took around 5 days to get under 14 consistently.
Is there any side effects from going from uncontrolled BS to controlled BS so quickly? I'm also feeling very tired, even though I'm eating well now. (Do seem to find it hard to eat 2500 calories without chocolate or Coke!)
Cheers
