The GAD test alone doesn't always indicate whether you have T1 or not as there are other causes of 'T1' than GAD antibodies and these include viruses and rarer antibodies. A negative GAD doesn't always prove 'not T1' hence the c-peptide can also be useful to show the body's level of insulin and whether insulin needs to be given.</p></blockquote><p></p>
