What’s for breakfast today?

1 of the 2 Scottish kippers in this pack (I'm having the other today). Fried in a little butter. Cup of tea with a splash of full fat milk.

Not today's breakfast but from when I was in hospital early in the year, here's a couple of examples what was on offer while I was there.

**** on a shingle as our American friends would say.

just how do you milk a hazelnut? with great difficulty?
:wacky:
Errm - I don't, I just buy some occasionally as it's a useful low carb alternative to dairy milk. But making it's really easy peasy:
  • just soak
  • blend
  • and squeezy
Started today with several drinks of water plus a bit of spare body fat... Followed intermittently by more water
until a real food breakfast about 1pm - gouda cheese, ham and green olives, followed by a few black cherries in a slightly sweetened cocoa & cream cheese mix; lemongrass & ginger tea plus more water

Brunch today

Cheese and chorizo omelette. More often than not have eggs, always on the lookout for new ideas. This is one of my favourites.

tried a seed porridge today. Didn't follow a recipe. Just heated an amount of almond milk then added 2 heaped tablespoons of milled linseed, sprinkle of cinnamon and stirred over a low heat. Very bland so added teaspoon of maple syrup.
Was quite a gloopy texture in the spoon but n I neded the warmth for comfort today.
Taste was OK but not great.
It did keep me full for a long walk.
One day I'll get the proportions right!

1 pork sausage (Heck are my favourites) with scrambled eggs. Cup of tea. It was between this and a slice of millionaire shortbread my husband made earlier in the week for dessert! Saving this for afternoon delights, be rude not to I feel. ;-)

Brunch - Cheese omelette in my omelette maker. Highly recommended (the omelette AND the maker. ;-)
