Hello Iv been high so long I don’t know what number I’m actually aiming for!
Is it 7?

thank you
Almost spot on.
Jenny ruhl in her bloods #101, suggests 8 or over is where the damage is done.
And I read that, as while being over 8 at some point is almost unavoidable, by diabetics and non diabetics.
It's because as type 2, our inability to deal with the incoming glucose so well, and a less efficient response, keeps us at a higher level & keeps us there for longer.
So, it's not too alarming if you see after eating, etc a BG level over 8.
As long that level comes down in timely order, as it's a natural part of everybody's response , T2D or otherwise.
But extended times above that, can & most likely does impart some measure of damage at a cellular level.
That's why monitoring our bloods pre & post meal is one of the best ways to help us limit such damage.
It shines a light on what, without such testing (Inc CGM) would easily go unnoticed in between our once or twice yearly HBA1c testing.
