Morning folks

Well back from Tenerife and I'm slowly adjusting to the temperature difference. Been wearing 4 layers of clothes as it was about 25 degrees in the good old Canaries. Found a rock bar so was happy. Hubby had a bad reaction to either the sun or th suncream and had burns up his leg so had to see a lovely Spanish doctor to get some cream and antibiotics as it was infected. Spent last 2 days in our room as he couldnt walk very far. Therefore decided not to go to Turkey in September and have changed to Salou in Spain. Wheher the temperature is the same I dont know but we felt we couldnt go to Turkey as temperature would be high and also the ever increasing situation with Russia.

Had the break as we were under some pressure from the family. Got back to even more so off I toddle today to daughter number 2. I feel for all of them and will support where an when we can but it can be a bit draining.

Back to diet class tomorrow, face those scales. Havent been for a month with one thing and another. I ate well in Tenerife and drank a bit but didnt go overboard. Hubby enjoyed the local cake.:hungry::hungry:

I hope you are all keeping well

@wolfie11969 doesn’t time fly when your having fun, hope hubbies ok now the sun out there can be very strong if not used to it.
So many families under huge financial strain these days

hubby keeps mentioning Tunisia, have you been there?

Beautiful sunshine here. Just about to put the laundry on the line.

Not been doing much, just regular household chores and reading. I have a condition called idiopathic intercranial hypertension and for weeks now I have had the most horrific headaches. It sort of goes when asleep but back with a vengeance the next morning. The condition means you cannot take too many painkillers as it can make it worse so until I see my specialist again I'm in limbo. Only issue the specialist is a 2 hour bus journey away and I dont do so well on buses. So need to weigh that up.

Family, meh. One household had norovirus so my youngest granddaughter spent time in the local hospital to monitor her fluid intake and her diabetes. They are all well again so today hopefully going to see them after school. It's the wee one's birthday next week so need to take her out to spend grandad's money ha ha.

Other household seemed to have managed an anniversary meal out so fingers crossed we are seeing some headway in the good old post natal.

And son is off work with some virus, it's not covid but as he works with food he cant go in coughing and sneezing.

Keep well

Glad things are settling for you slightly, have not heard of your condition before must be very hard for you,did hear of a cooling skull cap that reduces pressure?
Any dial a ride in your area?
Or friendly neighbour?
Regards to hubbies kneesa few cold beers should help

Hi all

Sorry been missing in action. Had another trip to Tenerife which I really enjoyed. beautiful sunshine, got a tan, ate ok and visited the local area.
on a more serious note coming home we were involved in a car accident. The taxi driver fell asleep and crashed into a traffic light. I have a scar down my face, loks like a harelip. I still have after effects of concussion, whiplash, and pains in my hands (could bemy arthritis). Ive also aggravated my hip so using a stick again.
people have aked if I'm going to sue but feel as I'm alive I should be grateful.
I didnt go to hospital just saw the GP, now waiting for the bill. Hubby seems to think when a RTA the NHS can charge you and you claim off the insurance.
I'm ok just constantly tired.
got to go, just been summoned to daughter umber 1. oh the joys
