Hi,Hi i hope everyone is keeping well and enjoying the bank holiday weekend.
Just a quick question to what you guys do in the summer when it is scorching hot (i know it seems a while away yet) because i know we cant have ice cream or ice lollies or milkshakes or anything nice to cool us down.
It will be my first summer soon as a diabetic so it will be interesting to know what you guys tend to do.
Should summer just be an excuse for eating ice cream, try Oppo.Hi i hope everyone is keeping well and enjoying the bank holiday weekend.

what is a shrub?I've just experimented with making a rhubarb shrub, with a little xylitol instead of sugar. Tastes great, just add 5 parts water to one part shrub.
I have a few strawberry plants, usually enough to provide 3-4 fruits a day but if they go crazy I mash them up with double cream and freeze spoonfuls in an ice cube tray.
Slices of cucumber or a couple of mashed up raspberries are nice in cold water.
think its a cocktail of some sort, i dont drink so no cluewhat is a shrub?
Stick with the low carb and your tastes will change so that you no longer want such things, and you will start to look at people who do indulge with mild pity as they build up future problems for themselves.thank you all for your replies really helpful, i just think its a pain in the bottom when you're chilling out with your family as a young adult and you can't enjoy some cooling down refreshements with them as one used to lol. Thank you everyone.
