I guess everyone is busy - apart from yourself and @debs248, and me. This time of year many folk are out and about doing summertime things, so the forum takes a back seat. I'm not all that busy though and this, and a couple of other forums keep me company, while I'm stuck in my chair for much of the time. This, and rubbish TV are my companions (so really it's only this; the TV is just a background kind of "noise offstage).Thinking of changing my id to "lonevoice". Where is everyone?
Slept better last night
B: ff greek with walnuts and alpine strawberries straight from the garden.
L: tasty salad using greens leaves from the reduced M&S fancy salad, half a mozzarella ball reduced in Lidl, a slice of ham (reduced from lidl) cucumber, a drizzle of dressing and a strawberry from a free pack from lidl. Chopped mint fresh from the garden. Looked really good, tasted even better and a bargain. Well pleased
Later, another slice of ham with some cheese and a mini icecream (9g carbs).
D: 2 90% sausages, mushrooms. At last minutes stirred in large teaspoon dijon mustard, splash of cream, splash of water. Yum. Hubby had a piece of flatbread with his.
Later a rum on a rock
Still here, just nothing interesting to reportThinking of changing my id to "lonevoice". Where is everyone?
Sounds like a lot of our meals. Sadly hubby is not low carb and brings home a lot of reduced pies, but he also looks out for things I can eat too. We have 4 half price Waitrose spinach mornays to chomp through this weekend!L: tasty salad using greens leaves from the reduced M&S fancy salad, half a mozzarella ball reduced in Lidl, a slice of ham (reduced from lidl) cucumber, a drizzle of dressing and a strawberry from a free pack from lidl.
I don't claim to post anything "interesting". I just like to post my food as it helps keep me on track, and the mods didn't like that I add comments so I'm not allowed to use the main thread. Please don't make "interesting" a criteria for posting, I'd rarely reach that!Still here, just nothing interesting to report
I hadn't realised that was missing but, if you want to know, you can click on your name to the left of the screen (where it says Rosemary Jackson Well-known member) and it should give you that information.Does anyone else miss seeing how many messages they have posted? It may seem silly, but I do!
I love cottage cheese but only full fat Longley Farm which is harder to find than hen's teeth down here. Must remember to look out for it when we venture Up North (well South still for you of course) to scatter FILs ashes.Cottage cheese with a couple of RyVita for breakfast. I don't have it often, but I actually do enjoy cottage cheese.
Must try using cottage cheese like that - not with proper lasagne, of course, but with a substitute.I love cottage cheese but only full fat Longley Farm which is harder to find than hen's teeth down here. In my carb eating days I used to make veggie lasagne with a layer of cottage cheese under the top layer of pasta. Yum.
When I was a child cottage cheese was a staple food when anyone was ill - along with Lucozade in that glass bottle with crinkly orange cellophane!
