What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

B - McDonalds sausage & egg muffin without muffin
L - Sausage roll (got caught out and limited options)
D - Was going to be fish but it was off so more sausages with a fried egg

So sausage for all 3 meals... not according to the plan.
The sausage roll gave me a nice big BG spike. More proof, as if it were needed, that I AM diabetic and that my BG is under control only through LCHF.
 
THIS IS MY PLAN FOR TODAY, HOPE ILL STICK TO IT.


B. 2 scrambled eggs with cream. 2 tea.
L. Will be .. Home-made leek & potato soup with cream - 2 Ryvitas
D. "Gary's". Beef stew, with 1 small dumpling! (Can't resist!)
 
Yesterday

B - Tinned Sardines
L- Chicken strips and raw cabbage
D - More Chicken and cabbage polish style (Plov).
S- Chocolate coated Almonds 200g .
 
Another day off work, so:

B: Coffee with cream and sugar free gingerbread syrup (not as nice as the hazelnut)
L: Hot choc made with raw cocoa powder and double cream - may put in a little bit of hazelnut sugar free syrup.
D: Spice crusted then roasted shoulder of lamb served with spinach (cooked with chilli oil, garlic, ginger, whole cumin seeds and turmeric) and possibly cauli rice. If I can be bothered. Asda didn't deliver my already prepared cauli rice so its question of whether I can be bothered to make my own. Might think of something else.

As usual on the day after a fast I am just not at all hungry and eating seems a bit of a chore (as does preparing it).
 
Just a thought.... I'm not off sick or anything - I just finished a run of 9 shifts, 2 days off then start a run of 7.

Caved in today. Was hungry this morning so IF plan of no breakfast went out the window and it then went spectacularly downhill from there!
B: 1/2 Lidl roll with lots of butter and lemon curd
L: strange combination of white fish, coronation chicken, rocket
D: last of the prawn curry with courgetti
S: piece of ginger cake, piece of chocolate brownie, choc chip cookie - none of which were LC However BS before dinner was 5.6 so damage can't have been too great, right?!
 
B: black coffee
L : black coffee ( stuck in meeting all day!)
D: roast duck legs in Chinese 5 spice x 3

BS before dinner 7.2 now 6.2 (2 hrs)
 
@Mongolia . The cake was absolutely delicious! I didn't use quite as much Splenda and I didn't add the lemon zest. I will certainly make it again. I'm hoping to try blueberry muffins at the weekend

D: a gustatory orgy of bratwurst, pate stuffed pointy peppers, cauli and broccoli cheese and a tablesp of swede mash.
 
@Mongolia hi...... well... when I am at work, am usually not hungry... but stuff myself when I get home!

I had 3 (ohhhh yes THREE) duck legs roasted in 5 spice powder.......m Jz scrumptiously gorgeous!!!
 
@Mongolia this is not my usual way of eating.. I don't eat (sometimes ) at work when stuck in meetings etc but I do love my food..

When at home, I snack nonstop .... that, unfortunately is my downfall.....
 
Back on track after a few crazy weeks

B: omelette muffins, diet coke (pre-gym)
S: handful of almonds, litre of water, coffee with single cream (post gym)
L: mackerel, lettuce, cucumber, avocado, cherry tomatoes, salad onions, sprinkle of chia seeds, linseeds and flax seeds

And that's as far as I've got
 
Yesterday's efforts
B - Bacon
L - turkey salad with mayo & cheese plus a side order of meatballs
D - brocolli and stilton soup with spinach bread.
S - coffee & cream, lots of red wine!
