What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Haha, it's not a way to cook spuds, refused the potatoes and substituted salad!

I did a double take on that too. I had been reading about these new lower carb potatoes they have in Australia so my mind thought 'refused potatoes ' was a new brand. Than I realised and called myself a Twit!

B. Raspberries with yoghurt

L. Walnuts and sliver of cheese

40 minutes swimming

D. Greek salad with a slice of ham. 4 strawberries with yoghurt.
 
Porridge, 3 slices of Spelt bread with blue cheese chunks, chicken casserole with celery and 1 dumpling, 3 cups coffee with milk, and 1 litre of water
 
B. Coffee with cream
L. Mug of Bovril
D. 3 small chipolatas 97% pork. Cauliflower couscous.. yumm. first time I've tried this and it's a new favourite. Whizz some cauli until it resembles couscous. I added tumeric, cumin, celery salt and garlic salt. 2 mins in the microwave , added some finely chopped red pepper and another minute in the microwave....... so simple and tasty
 
B. 2 shredded wheat with semi skimmed milk, coffee with semi skimmed milk no sugar.
L home made butternut squash soup,2 whole meal rolls,coffee with a tea biscuit
D southern fry chicken wraps,with salad.
Snacks, 1 pear,couple of tangerines,

Pre diabetes,hba1c hasn't been above 44 since diagnosis 5 years ago.
Controlled through diet.
Still enjoy a few drinks across the week, mainly vodka and Diet Coke.

You probably mean the Carisma potatoes .. I've tried them but not overly keen. I don't think you're missing anything

S: Celery Stick w/Herbed Cream Cheese
L: Prawn, Bacon & Avocado Salad w/Olive Oil and a spoon of Seafood Sauce
S: Red Pepper Soup
D: Beef Chilli w/Cauliflower Rice, Tomato & Onion Salad, Grated Chipotle Cheese, Sour Cream & Black Olives
S: Raspberry Diet Jelly w/Strawberries

2 x Peppermint Tea, 2 x Creamy Coffee, 2 x Tea w/splash of cream

That them. My hubby's family all live in Australia. Heard about them from them.
 
Day 2 Week 3

Breakfast and Lunch: Nothing

Dinner: Garlic and herb lamb steak and roasted vegetables if calories are okay I might have a chunk of butternut squash.

Snack: Sugar free jelly
 
Yesterday

L: Salad with cold pork
D: Fish Pie with mashed celeriac topping made with cream, butter and goat cheese

Snacks of peanuts and 3 glasses of wine
 
Ok had 2 walnuts this morning before the school run. Skipped the latte. Was fasting 8.2 by the time I got back and pre breakfast I was 9.8. Admittedly not as bad as yesterday. I've had breakfast now so let's see what that does.
B. Morning coffee with a dash of cream.
2 scrambled eggs with parsley and 2 slices of crispy bacon.
L. Will be yesterday's leftover chicken with red pesto, feta and olives with steamed greens.
D. Will be my first trip into Crackslaw!
 

What an amazing and wonderful morning you have had! Do you live somewhere warm because it's drizzling rain and cold here today.

Your food sounds delicious, too. I love the idea of picking walnuts fresh from the tree.

And pre lunch I'm back at 8.2 and falling. Time to have lunch , feed No 2 grandson before I head off to pick up Mum from a class she is covering at the sports centre , pick up No 1 from school , take Mum and No 2 home while No 1 comes back with me as he is refusing to go home as 1) He will be sad without Nana and Papa love and
2) Papa is making broth again!
