@alliebee yes I tied the nutty one. 8.6 before hand - an hour later I felt a bit rough and was at 12.3 at 2 hours I was down to 10.3. Was shocked to say the least... Will try some of the other flavours at some point as I really enjoyed the nutty one even if it didn't like me

Oh that's such a shame. They don't raise me by much at all but I couldn't have one at breakfast. Maybe try later in the day. Cos they are so nice..lots of people can't handle carbs at breakfast

Actually, just put two and two together!

Had a stressful afternoon, and a slightly different lunch, and if think I went too low. Didn't test, because I didn't realise, at the time, what was happening.

The good news is that it was such a mild hypo it hardly deserves the name!
Thank goodness for very low carbing. I'm feeling a bit achy now, and my supper is only bringing my BG up very slowly, but that is good. For me, the slower the rise, the less likely I will drop sharply.

All in all, a fab result. I'm delighted.

Another reason to celebrate with my buttery, creamy peanutty mug cake!

Oh, it is soooo easy.

Get your smoked mackerel,
Skin it, bone it, flake it into a measuring jug with high sides
Add sour cream OR cream cheese OR double cream
Add Lemon juice and black pepper
Add horseradish

Mix it up.
You can leave it rough, or hand blend it smooth (hence suggesting the high sides on the jug, because you can blend in it, if you like)
All quantities totally variable.

Also works with smoked salmon or kippers

Have you tried asking if he does a gluten-free version Allie? I know that's not necessarily a fool-proof option, but at least the butcher should be able to tell you exactly what's in them.
