I do, but tonights were bought.
I don't really have a recipe. I just sort of chop my onion, make a batter up of gram flour with a smidge of Pataks mild curry paste, and fry in a dab of oil in a non-stick pan. I don't deep fry. Mine come out like flat drop scones, with crispy edges.
hold on, I will look for a batter recipe.
OK, so I looked. some recipes use eggs (I don't), and the ones that don't just use water.
I think it is more a case of playing, than being purist.
Its been a while, but typically I use a few tablesp of gram flour, water, the paste, beat/blend till smooth, then dump in the onion and stir. I like it with a lot more onion than batter...
Not sure if that helps at all.
Do u make your own onion bajhias? I have a complicated recipe that neither of us really like but could do with a simple recipe, though I find small shop ones don't seem to do much damage to my levels.
Today's my 1st day of trying to reduce the dreaded carbs, after all the encouraging comments from this site.... I just dived straight into it
Breakfast .... Homemade green smoothie ... Papaya, kale, spinach, chia seeds, flaxseeds, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, lemon, mint
Lunch.... Greek yogurt, mixed berries, pumpkin & sunflower seeds,
Dinner.... Green smoothie as above plus full fat cottage seeds, sunflower & pumpkin seeds, spinach
It feels like a healthier food day
That soup sounds gorgeous!B: second attempt at smoothie, blueberries, raspberries and almond milk. Was very tasty but I did feel quite hungry half way through the morning
L: an enormous bowl of home made leek and onion soup with ham hock. Still felt hungry though
D: three slices of ham with cream cheese, radishes and tomatoes. Greek yoghurt with raspberries - two helpings!
I plan to add some oats to my smoothie tomorrow which might stave off the hunger pangs.

I need to get my head around the butter and cream! I Rarely have cream but notice it's very popular in low carbing ....

what proportion of fats to carbs did you have to lose the weight? Should I be even counting calories, fats and carbs?
Hi again @Rose28 You seem to be getting on well and seem a lot more postive and cheerful than you were the other night when you joinedHave you noticed a difference in your bg readings yet? I meant to say the other night that you should test loads if you start low carbing and are on Glic to make sure you dont drop too low too quickly.
