Roast lamb with braised fennel and chestnuts( just a few) :
)

Ahhh how the other half live :B: tried the chia pudding again but used coo's milk instead of almond milk, and it was much better. Added some blackberries and a dollop of cream
L: nothing
D: two pork loin steaks and sprouts, will be having usual yoghurt concoction at some point
Forgot to add 2 coffees with cream!
Really useful things b squashes, since I can grow them and they keep well. But they're quite carby and I have to be careful not to have more than a quarter of one at a time. With LOADS of butter.Roasting a butternut squash soon, first time for me too....
B: avocado, ham, cheese, mayo, poached egg
L: :***: Couldn't find a caff open at 2pm so went to Tesco and bought a hoisin duck wrap which, when I removed the wrap, which was probably long enough to carpet my stairs, revealed meat paste and a few tired shreds of lettuce.
D: beef stew & mash (celeriac, butternut squash, swede & butter), 26 peas.
I'm a bit wary of peas so I count them on to the plate. So they're usually cold when it comes to eating themHad to smile at the 26 peas![]()
and 26 peas, not 27! 27 peas is one too many!Really useful things b squashes, since I can grow them and they keep well. But they're quite carby and I have to be careful not to have more than a quarter of one at a time. With LOADS of butter.
Lunch sounded awful - but I like the way you counted your peas for dinnerB: avocado, ham, cheese, mayo, poached egg

I should have had some butter on as well as the cheese too, or more cheese as there was "something" missing.... didn't realise they were so carby - never checked my book. Wont be able to tell cos I also had quarter of a crumble afterwards - no cream, it was too hot to eat with cream - I've got the squirty stuff and it just melts. Got another half left for tomorrow so WILL be adding butter when I reheat it. It wasn't a huge one thoughReally useful things b squashes, since I can grow them and they keep well. Yes, very growable although our good summer last year must have helped. I used seeds saved from the previous year and there were only a couple of odd-shaped ones.Happy Birthday for the 10th - I may have forgotten by then- checked your profile to see where you were to be growing them - or are they uk "growable" if there wasn't such a word there is now......

My GI/GL counter says its low for both having 5g carbs in 65g portion. What made me go to 8.2 after 2.5 hrs, forgot to set 2hr reminder, was having crumble after it without cream (and having both at same time obvs)Exactly the same for me too - I can only have a little. I use carbs and cals to try to keep to 10g carbs worth, and load it with cheese and tuna mayo, for a nice lunch.
