They are @Spiker 's suggestion, and don't cause me a spike. Marvellous. They actually feel like you're eating something very wrong. ;)

Not sure I'm allowed to post a link. Try googling '9bar peanut'. I get mine from Tescos.
Oh my goodness, I have found a sweet treat that doesn't cause a spike! Thank you Brunnerria, I got some at the weekend and they are delish!

@Tweetypie

I have actually got two types because I have started at lunchtimes some serious weight training / exercise, I used to have the chocolate one with 1 or 2 weetabix mixed in and chug that down in morning, but it is very sweet.
So I bought the more expensive option without weetabix in mornings
ImageUploadedByDCUK Forum1401733429.622101.jpg
it is 20g of protein per serving, I mix with water only, but high fat milk tastes lovely.
May not be for everyone but working for me ok so far,
It's funny because after my dreadful Sunday of food ( had some choc cake my daughter made last night) this morning was my best BG all the past week @ 7.0 and my pre lunch today was 4.7, I really don't understand food some days, maybe the week of LCHF is paying off, although I have put weight back on :(
(Hope it's muscle mass)
Sorry for the essay, hope this helps

On waking: 2 smal Brazils.
Breakfast: leftover moussaka (v small portion) and a cuppa tea
Lunch: leftover moussaka (v small portion)
On dog walk: 9bar
Dinner: you've guessed it - leftover moussaka (bigger portion). This is our third moussaka fest in as many weeks. I think it is a **** near perfect LCHF food - without potato, of course! And sooo filling and satisfying. I think I could live on it in ketosis. Then jelly and cream.
Last thing: 2 small Brazils.

Cooked breakfast: fried and scrambled eggs , sausage, bacon and tomatoes.

Late lunch of broccoli, cauliflower and cheese soup, Turkish sryle yogurt with stevia and cinnamon.

Dinner of a turkey burger (and a little bit) , some cheese and air dried beef

Snacks, so far: a bag of pork crunch and probably a low carb choc bar as my order arrived today. Can't wait to try the praline syrup!

No breakfast. But I then erred and stole my daughter's leftover raisin cookie. It did however meet the Jenny Ruhl criteria for rule breaking - it was bloody amazing.

Lunch was chorizo and scrambled eggs, yum. And a quite milky cafetiere coffee.

Afternoon I was caught short and got a Regular 9Bar from a shop, but they are higher carb than the Peanut 9Bar. (about 30 percent)

Dinner, two burger patties with cheddar and coleslaw. Totally delicious and satisfying.

Lunch: Greek yogurt with cinnamon, a plum and hazelnuts. Creamy decaf.

Dinner: veg roasted in rosemary and thyme with grilled halloumi and pesto yogurt.

I tested butternut squash tonight in my roast veg. 150g raw weight. I am not sure if the result is acceptable or not

I think you're right, Deb. Didn't like seeing an 8 on my meter. Will put it on the "sometimes" list.

Sad isn't it that a supposedly healthy food is a treat for us!
