I had a nice mixed fresh veg salad and spam for lunch. The spam was quite nice with some dijon mustard. Sugar free black cherry jello for dessert. All washed down with a san pelligrino.

Forgot to say yesterday, someone at work asked me if I had been eating pickled onion Monster Munch.

My reaction was ...:wideyed:......:bag:

Flamin keto breath :***: Got a spray from Boots now.

Lunch ....(skipped breakfast as didnt eat at work yesterday untill I arrived home at 02.30....then had cheese and green sald with a good dollop of mayo.)
Two sausages three bacon and fried egg.
Dinner was out so had cajun burger ..with coleslaw and chips ......did not have bread roll.
Snack ..cheese covered with coconut oil ...weirdly very tasty....

Conversation at work yesterdayof benefits of coconut oil in patients with dementia.

B: Poached egg, ham, tomatoes, mushrooms and BUTTER
L: Mixed leaf salad, avocado, cucumber, celery, tomato, white cabbage, smoked mackerel, dressing of olive oil, Dijon mustard, lemon juice and horseradish
D: skin-on chicken, leek & mushroom casserole with steamed courgette, cabbage and cauli, cream added to the sauce after Mrs D had hers (she doesn't like cream!)

What a lovely day's food.

My food:

B: 2 boiled eggs, black coffee
L: veg frittata, half an avocado, a tomato, lettuce, Mayo, bit of goats cheese.
D: 3 small garlic and herb burgers (or, if you like, large meatballs. We can't make our mind up here). Small portion of veg : cauli, green beans and brocoli, with a knob of butter on. (I'd normally want a lot more veg, half a plateful, but am staying with the inlaws where for some reason veg is portion-controlled).
Snack: almonds.

My usual
Brekkie; bullet/fat coffee
This afternoon coffee with coconut oil and 1 tbsp Jersey cream
Dinner; Planning to have prawns fried in butter with sliced garlic and chopped chilies, spicy, hot buttery.

I just so love this thread!
I may not say much - and some may even say that the little I do say is too much! - but when I first started to think about LCHF way of eating I found this thread so much more helpful than anything else I had read.
I could see easily the sort of foods that you all combined to make some great meal ideas and yes, although I came to realise that you can't just copy someone else's menus and expect them to be fine for you, I played about with your ideas (sorry!) and have started to discover what my body likes and what it does not appreciate so much!
You can see how high my glucose levels were when I was first diagnosed and my reading now are almost always less than 9, which I know is still too high by far, but is such an improvement. I have actually hit 6.0 on a couple of occasions which I found really encouraging.
So folks, a really huge thank you from me to all of you. Perhaps I'll have a good idea or two to add one day as well, you never know!
Bee Gee

B: yoghurt, berries, oats and double double cream :-)
L: tomato and basil soup in M&S and coffee with cream
D: probably burgers without buns with some cheese and Mediterranean veg
Snacks: slices of ham

Bit puzzled as my bg has been a bit weird the last few days. Today I woke with 9.1, two hours after brekkie it was 6.7, and I've just taken it now before my evening meal, and it's 9.1 again!

Anyone got any ideas?

Starting a virus?
Stress?
Hope it isn't a virus. Bum timing! :(

So we have peanut butter under the cheese & there's bacon & egg hiding under ten beans. Lol.

Had a great low carb day
B sliced roast chicken breast with some mushrooms fried in butter
L not hungry so coffee n cream
Dinner after xmas shopping and famished 4 egg omlette with cheese
Almost zero carbs me thinks

Breakfast cheese portion
Lunch chicken thigh and sausage from deli, soy latte
Snack 2 sq chocolate
Dinner sausage, bacon rasher, tomato, mushrooms, egg and 4 skin on wedges

Got the cold and had an 11.2 mmol/l on waking. Ate low carb and can only put it down to the virus. Been eating but can't taste much so Pavlosdog maybe coming down with something too ?

Sorry for all your bugs and viruses!

I've just got one more day at work before Pupternity starts. I'm praying I make it through without picking up one of the many plagues that are rampaging through our open plan office. We've got coughs, 'flu' -yeah right. Real flu means you can't work. A chest infection and a vomiting survivor.

One more day.

Oh, and did I mention the fleas?

The bloody cat has brought fleas into the house. 3 days before the puppy.
I am decontaminating wildly, but refuse to use chemical sprays.
So it's diatomaceous earth, hoovering, hot temp bed washes, and I've told the cat that I will shave all his whiskers if I see him scratching one more time.

Both he and the dog should have been protected for another couple of weeks at least, from their last anti-flea drops.

:banghead:

Sorry. Off topic. Not really a food preoccupation day. ;)

B - 9bar
L - works Christmas lunch - had roast turkey, pig in blanket, inroastie, 4 slices of carrot a ton of sprouts and green beans - no gravy but a little cranberry sauce, followed by profiteroles.
D - 2 egg omelette with bacon, cheese & mushrooms
