2 days for you. Yesterday:

B: 2 boiled eggs
L: salad of celery, cucumber, sundried tomato, chicken, olives, Mayo, goat's cheese. Was delicious.
D: grilled fish from the chippy (appeared to nevertheless have been dipped in something which I tried to pick off but not easy), insides of 4 dim sims, salad, Mayo.
Snack: almonds.

Today:
B: 2 boiled eggs, coffee with cream.
L: at the cricket, small bag of almonds I took with me, then some lamb koftas with raita as I managed to find the bar in the ground that serves decent food!
D: still at the cricket and again found low carb food! Salad consisting of lettuce, tomato, cucumber, tandoori chicken and yoghurt.
Snack when I came home: small handful pistachios.

For the first time ever I didn't eat carbs at the cricket.

I've been away so hopefully upheld the honour of the forum by eating as sensibly as possible without being unsociable. Food I wouldn't normally eat is in red.

Yesterday
B (home): salmon & scrambled egg
L (cafe): Ham salad w/couscous, tomato, carrot (no dressing); 2 coffees w/milk
D (away): sweet potato pie w/mushrooms, carrot, cheese, ham, beef; fizzy water
Pub: fizzy water

Today
B (away): fried egg, bacon, mushroom, tomato; 2 coffees w/milk, 1 w/soya milk
L (home again): mixed leaf salad w/olives, tomato & cheese in olive oil, 1 Babybel, mayo, almond cheese slices w/Natex; coffee w/almond milk & cream
S: dozen fresh raspberries & cream; chia tea, black
D: will be poached salmon and steamed veg with some sort of cream & lemon sauce

Lunch: same as yesterday - quorn tikka with rice
Tea: Luverly cauliflower bread with sliced feta and tomatoes grilled with butter

Quite full now but think I still may be tempted by the apple crumble I made earlier, with squirty cream, the extra thick one

Cauliflower Bread:
1 cauliflower - put it in the blender with a clove of garlic
mix in 2-3 eggs, 100grammes grated cheese or parmesan, pinch of oregano & basil
turn out onto baking tray lined with greaseproof paper (pat down & shape)
cook in oven 40mins @170C (325F)
turn over (turn out onto another baking tray lined with greaseproof paper, removing the original greaseproof paper)
cook for a further 20 mins
remove from the oven and cool on a cooling rack
simples!
excellent as a pizza base :)
This was LOVELY - thank you - though I did have to use the foodprocessor. Had half and so tempted to eat the other half but a WHOLE cauliflower in one sitting - erm, perhaps not :doctor:

We're about to have jerk pork loin, with a few sweet potato chilli wedges and salad. I rather wanted spices tonight. (Day 2 of a hungry phase, but happy enough as my weight is down.)

Had yet another low carb semi-argument with my mother in law today. I was saying at lunch that one thing I did miss was Asian dumplings and she said that her diabetic cookbook (she's not diabetic but cooks from the diabetic cookbook and the cancer cookbook - you can probably guess what these books are like) might have a recipe but I've looked through her cookbook and it's very much of the "you can have everything including carbs because a mixed 'healthy' diet is the best for diabetics" school. THE COVER PHOTO IS OF A PRAWN RISOTTO. I then said again that I ate a low carb diet and she said "low carb or no carb?" And I said low carb, as no carb would mean no veg. She then started yet again about her diabetic friend who worked as a hospital librarian so had access to the best diabetic care and who was told that she had to have some fruit. I explained for about the 1054th time that the thinking was changing on that as fruit isn't necessary if you eat veg (well it's well arguable that veg isn't necessary too but I didn't want to completely freak her out by talking about Inuits) and that you wouldn't treat any other food intolerance by giving that very food and then having to tweak everything around it, which was why I was following a low carb plan and she's seen me eat and I don't know how anything can call my diet unhealthy (I was eating a chicken salad at that precise moment), and that I'd lost 15kg since October just from giving up sugar, without reducing quantities or calories or fat. She then said that her friend was doing things a different way and that it must all balance out as said friend was eating a bit of sugar but reducing her fat, at which point I realised that the horse was well and truly dead and that I may as well stop flogging.

Also MIL keeps going on about how she got 10/10 for good health from her doctor and she eats a bit of everything, and she is indeed fit and well but she takes statins for her cholesterol!
