Hubby has joined me on low carb and lost 9kg in the last 20 weeks with the low carb program. It’s been fantastic for us both but we now need to replace most of his trousers.

He has gone from a size 40 waist to a 36. I was looking online at stores and wondered if anyone knew what the difference between 36S, 36R and 36L in jeans is?

Is there a certain number of inches the letter denote?

For men I think s,r and l are 30, 32, and 34 inches, although that might vary by make

There are some clothing stores on line that do the range from 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33 and 34 inside leg lengths!

    I'm 32waist,29 inside leg.
And it's annoying to get them altered!
