What music are you listening to?

I always like this one, for obvious reasons:

Mrs hay-char played Meonfest yesterday, with her ukulele mates, and Frank Turner was top of the bill. It's a fund raiser for a local school and he had to dash over from Glasto to perform. Apparently his mother is a governor of the school and told him he had to turn up. Mothers, eh? :D
Son saw him and said he was very good.

Been listening to this today. It's out tomorrow but as I got it from Amazon I was able to stream it today.

Just heard that Chris Squire, the bass player with Yes, has died of leukaemia. Bombastic, overly complicated, incomprehensible yet pretentious lyrics and pointlessly fast soloing were just some of the criticisms that can be levelled at Yes but, at their best, they could be genuinely thrilling; never more so than in the days when Chris Squire was playing alongside Bill Bruford on drums.

... all of which is a rather long-winded way of saying I've just been listening to this:

Watched the Who on Glastonbury last night, they were very good. It was the same show my friend & I saw at the o2 last December.

Another music thread!
Not been on this place for about a week ... just can't be bothered at the moment.
Very tired not very well but .... busy trying to make my own music still.
So may I take this opportunity to try and get some hits on my music page ......

I've been singing along to my playlist of female artists for the last 5 hours while I sew peg bags for a craft fair. It has tons of stuff from Ella Fitzgerald to P. J. Harvey, Alison Moyet to Lily Allen, Donna Summer to Everything But The Girl, Dusty Springfield to Paloma Faith. I'm having to sing quietly now as my husband is in bed after cycling overnight from London to Dunwich & then back to Cambridge (nutter - but fit nutter!).

Sorry to hear you're not feeling too well. Feeling tired makes it worse as well. Hope you are feeling a bit better now.

I listen to music every night in bed while going to sleep, i am currently listening to Whitesnakes "Live in the heart of the city" which has been in the CD player for 2 month now, i shall be changing it before long and might go withsomething by Frank Zappa or Foghat

Shouldn't you be listening to something a bit more relaxing? :)

An afternoon in the garden with the ipod, listened to Fairport Convention, Howlin Wolf, Jim Hendrix, Bob Dylan (new stuff), Travelling Wilburys, Steeleye Span & Dr Feelgood Oh, and Nick Drake
